Grade 3 consolidates literacy and numeracy, deepens inquiry and collaboration, and completes Lower Primary with a school-based assessment that informs support in Upper Primary.

Assessment Approach

Assessment is continuous and formative: observation, oral questions, projects, portfolios and written tasks. Progress is reported against CBE performance levels — Exceeding, Meeting, Approaching and Below Expectations. National school-based assessments by KNEC are administered at the designated grades.
